Hi ladies welcome back for another wash day post!! This past wash day was exhausting but worth it. I tried a new DC and it impressed the heck outta me :)
Here's what transpired:
PREPOO- Protein Pre-poo with Motions CPR+Aussie 3 min Miracle and Vatika coconut oil
SHAMPOO- ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo
DEEPCONDITIONER - Naturelle Grow Mango and coconut water DC - Lookie here I paid good money for this DC ($25 buckaroos including s&h to be exact) for 16oz. Throughout the entire application I kept threatening this ish (pardon my french) better werk miracles...Mannnnnn this stuff is the bees-knees. Instant love at first use..
I layered the DC with some Avocado oil and let it Marinate for 3-4 hours #winning
FINAL RINSE - after I rinsed out the DC I did a final rinse with Rosewater
LEAVE-INS - I t-shirt wrapped my hair for about an hour. Then applied my leav-ins : Cantu Shea butter and sealed with Carols Daughter nourishing pomade (okay so I tried 2 new products this week)
STRETCHED HAIR = HAPPY NG - as I detangled and applied my leave-ins I stretched my hair by plaiting the roots and twisting the length of my hair. I ended up with about 12 plait/twist.
At 23 weeks Post it's hard to believe my hair is so well behaved **knocks on wood**. BUT my schedule is getting more and more hectic and I've been drooling over people's twists and braids forever.....so on the eve of July 4th I FINALLY installed my Senagalese Twists. Took me 14 labor-intensive-like hours!!! They turned out so fantabulous!!!! lol
I plaited the ends and dipped them in hot water. When am bored with straight I may curl the entire length. What do you guys think?
Have you used the Naturelle Grow Mango and coconut water DC? Will you be protective styling this summer? Chime in below. I'd love to hear what you think. See you in the next post!
