Objective – Last week all I did was a Co-wash and DC after all the festivities of Memorial weekend. So this week I planned on doing a Hair treatment fit for a Queen.
Execution:
Pre-poo – overnight with Vatika Coconut oil infused with pure goodness for hair
Ayurvedic treatment – I mixed NaturalMehndi Herbs = Brahmi, Shikakai, Aloe Vera, Methi (fenugreek), * Bhringraj, Amla, Neem, Hibiscus, and Jatamansi. This mix promotes growth, darken and condition hair. I mixed it with 2 steeped green tea bags and left it in for about 6 hours.
Cowash– Eden Body works Coconut Shea Cleansing Cowash – One use of this and it’s going in the staples bucket. I seriously could have stopped here. I got the cleansing properties of the Shikakai powder and conditioning properties of all the other herbs. My hair was soft, clean and moisturized… BUT I was itching to try the Vatika Naturals Olive oil deep conditioning Hair Mask so…..
Deep condition: Vatika Naturals Olive oil deep conditioning Hair Mask…. My NG was a tad bit crunchy but the length of my hair was soft and supple. I think applying steam will fix the crunchiness next use.
Rinsed and sprayed hair with AVJ, ACV + Rosemary oil mix (left in)…T-shirt dried overnight.
Leave-ins – HH soft coconut marshmallows.
Flat ironed – Applied Avocado oil root to tip as my heat protectant (Avocado has a smoke point of up to 500 + degrees) and flat ironed on 310 degrees and trimmed about an 1/8 of my ends.
Results: I’ve been hitting home Runs lately with my hair. It’s been very manageable (am 18 weeks post Y’all) AND I’m grazing BSL. I think I will incorporate an ayurvedic treatment after my pre-poo as a staple in my Regimen (speaking off I haven’t posted my regimen as yet. I’ll get on that soon).
